Many people are extremely interested in the ancient science and art of Chinese feng shui. They wonder if it’s really possible to use it to add positive energy and feelings of vitality to their lives. This art is also said to help in gaining wealth, being healthier, and attaining real happiness.
Chinese feng shui is not a magic bullet to bring bags of money to your doorstep or miraculously cure your ailments. There are but many positive benefits that you can receive when applying Chinese feng shui principles to your life. Let’s have a closer look at some of these.
For one, Chinese feng shui encourages peace and harmony in the home, and along those lines, encourages people to de-clutter their environments and their lives overall. Of course, its absolutely impossible to choose what exactly can and cannot be considered clutter in your home and your life; as the ancient saying goes, One mans trash is another mans treasure. But, the application of Chinese feng shui is meant to encourage positive energy and to get rid of anything that drains you of this energy, or that introduces negative feelings and energy in your life.
You can apply this thought to your life as well as your material possessions. If you have a so-called friend, for example, who only calls you when she needs something and is usually over-emotional, do you really need this friend? If you feel exhausted and drained when she has finished speaking to you, is this person someone you need or can she be considered clutter? A so-called friend like this is just using you, taking everything and giving nothing in return. You should not feel terrible about ending this particular friendship.
Since feng shui is based on traditional Chinese values, it tends to focus on ideals of working hard and applying yourself to career and family. These are positive ways to use your energy, and will help encourage positive energy to expand in your life. But, the way to apply these principles to your own life will be different for you than for other people. Reckon about the way to apply these values to your family and career.
Do you use your time, your resources, and your energy to encourage strong family bonds? Do you see your family as an investment opportunity for that energy? If you know and apply the principle being taught by Chinese feng shui that positive energy begets positive energy, then you wont hesitate to work hard at making your family bonds as strong as possible.
There’s also a lot of emphasis on how color affects mood and energy in your environment and in the home. But, be sure that you don’t mistake myth and folk lore as strict rules. While certain colors can contribute to certain moods, a red front door isn’t necessarily lucky, and some colors aren’t more likely to make you wealthy.
Colors in rooms and home areas are just used to make moods. Dark colors will cool and soothe and bright colors will make a feeling of energy.
In these few ways, you can see how Chinese feng shui can add positive energy and vitality in your own life.
