What Is Cancer and Are Causes?
By James Cash

Malignant Neoplasm AKA cancer is a class of diseases in which a group of cells show the characteristics of uncontrollable growth (growth and division beyond the normal boundaries), invasion (intrusion on and destruction of adjacent tissues), and sometimes metastasis (spread to other locations in the body via lymph or blood). These three malignant properties of cancers differentiate them from benign tumors, which are self-limited, do not. invade or metastasize. A large majority cancers form a tumor but some, like leukemia, do not.

Tweezers/Epilators: Fact Sheet
What kind of tweezers are best?
The Woman care accessories homemade
Buy a excellent quality pair. Don’t skimp on price. Tweezerman offers lifetime sharpening.
Make sure the two tips of the tweezers meet and form a excellent grip on the hair.
What is the best way to pluck hair?
• Stretch the skin slightly, grip the hair close to the root, and pull gently, firmly and evenly.
Yanking the hair may cause it to break off thus increasing the risk of ingrown hair.
• Use excellent tweezers.
• Make sure you are in excellent even light.
• Pull the hairs in the direction of growth.
• Tweezing after a bath or shower is simpler when the skin is warm.
• Rub an ice cube over the area after tweezing to reduce redness.
• Avoid plucking just before a period as more pain or discomfort may be felt at this time.
Which body areas are particularly suitable for plucking?
Stray eyebrow hairs, scattered hairs in the abdominal region, stray hairs on the nipples and chin
hairs in women past the menopause.
Eyebrow hair differs in that the majority of them at any given time are in the resting or telogen
phase.
This means their regrowth rate is slower than other hair.
It is wise therefore to avoid overplucking eyebrow hair.
Where are electrical epilators most and least effective?
Most effective:
Large, flat areas like the arms and legs.
Least effective:
Curved areas like the underarms, and may cause significant trauma to the face
and other thin skinned areas.
How do electrical epilators work?
Many of these devices have tweezer discs in the head which rotate picking up the hair in the
process and plucking them from the root.
Many are contoured in such a way as to glide easily over all parts of the body.
How long before the hair reappears?
Many weeks, between 3 and 8.
Tweezers/Epilators: Fact Sheet
How painful is it?
A slight stinging or pricking sensation is often felt. Red bumps may appear due to swollen hair
follicles but they usually disappear after some hours.
The risk of infection with epilating can be reduced by using an antibacterial agent before and after
the procedure.
What are the main advantages and disadvantages?
This is generally a very economical method depending on how much one wishes to spend on
excellent quality tweezers.
Electrical devices range anywhere from $30 to $60.
The main disadvantage of hand tweezing is the time required. It is a painstaking process and
requires much patience.
On the other hand some have expressed that they delight in it and find it therapeutic with the
procedure becoming nearly compulsive.
Are electronic (Radio Frequency) tweezers effective?
Controversy surrounds the use of electronic tweezers.
The method:
The hair is grasped with the electronic tweezers and held for 15 to 20 seconds while a current
travels through the tweezers and down the hair shaft. The hair can then be slid out.
The effectiveness of this treatment has been questioned by some as hair is not a conductor but
rather an insulator. Some conclude the effectiveness is no better than with ordinary tweezers.
Additionally there are some precautions:
As small amounts of radiation are emitted, electronic tweezers should not be used by pregnant
women as harm may result to the fetus.
Electronic tweezers should not be used by anyone wearing a pacemaker as the high frequency
emitted can interfere with the frequency of the pacemaker.
Additional warnings concern possible hurt to the eyes from the small amounts of radiation.

Women’s Hair Loss – My Sink Is Full Of Hair

Filed Under (Hair Loss) by Parimal on 02-07-2009

Women’s Hair Loss: My sink is Full of Hair!!Society likes a full head of gorgeous hair on a female. As women age, but, so does the hair and, depending upon heredity, lifestyle, diet and disease, hair becomes gray, brittle, and, in some cases much thinner. Fortunately, women today can do something about all of these conditions and maintain a more youthful appearance much longer.Probably the most devastating hair problem for women is thinning and balding. The gray can be colored; conditioners can restore suppleness, but no simple fix is available for significant hair loss. It is vital to first isolate the cause of hair loss before making the choice to do something. Causes can be determined by a physician and may include one or more of the following:1. Heredity: From both parents, propensity for hair loss can be inherited and, unfortunately, is a permanent condition.2. Stress/Anxiety: Life-changing events, such as divorce or death, as well as career and financial difficulties can take their toll on hair growth. Fortunately, the condition is temporary and will dissipate as the cause does.3. Disease: Certain diseases (e.g., Diabetes, Lupus) will cause hair loss. Again, once treatment has begun and the disease is under control, the hair loss can reverse itself. Drugs for diseases can cause hair loss as well, and, again, once the drug is stopped, hair usually returns.4. Diet/Exercise: A terrible diet, lack of exercise, and lack of hydration can cause hair loss to accelerate beyond the normal (normal being 100 or so strands a day). Again, this can be reversed with a better lifestyle.5. Skin and Scalp Infections: With treatment, hair loss will reverse.6. Menopause: Many women experience increased hair loss with the onset of menopause – this too may be permanent. There are two types of permanent hair loss in women. The first is patterned, in which hair is lost on the top of the head but remains intact on the back of the head. The other is non-patterned, where hair loss occurs throughout the head and, eventually, leads to a bald appearance. Dependent upon the type, there are several, although limited, options. There are hair loss products on the market specifically for women. This is vital, because male products are not advised and can, indeed, be perilous. These products will slow the hair loss process and may stimulate some regrowth. Wigs are now fashion accessories, and even women with normal hair often have several. This is a fortunate societal trend for sufferers of hair loss.Surgical procedures are available and are effective for patterned hair loss, because hair from the back of the head can be transplanted to the thinning frontal areas. These options are expensive and not covered by health insurance. But, a low-cost way of treating hair loss is by using Provillus. Provillus is an oral supplement, which works to block DHT, a form of testosterone that is responsible for 95 percent of hair loss. It also works to stimulate the scalp and bring dead follicles back to life. You can use Provillus as a preventive supplement, starting the program before hair loss becomes severe, or you can use it after DHT has already begun to take hold of your hair and scalp. Hair loss treatment is an individual choice. Women whose moods and happiness are affected by hair loss should do something about it. Women who are in the public eye and who feel the need to be as attractive as possible should do something about their thinning hair. Isolate the cause and develop a plot of action.

While the thought of menopause may immediately cause you to picture women in the 45-55 year age range, male menopause is very real. Men do indeed suffer from menopause just like women do, but under differing circumstances of course. Being it and be more aware of available menopause treatment.

Those who experience male menopause often report the symptoms being less bothersome than those reported from women. At Last! A Natural Remedy To Acne

Filed Under (Acne, Asthma, Skin Care) by Parimal on 22-04-2008

<strong>www.acnefreein3days.com

If you already have acne, you don’t really need an explanation of what it is. If you do need to find out what acne is, you can find that information everywhere online. What you are probably more concerned about is why you have it or what caused it and how do you get rid of it.

There are many theories out there about the cause of acne, but the one I feel hits the spot is hormonal imbalance, partially because of when acne occurs. It usually first occurs during puberty when hormones are making huge changes in the body — and it happens in women during their menstrual cycle and also when pregnant or going through menopause. All of these things are hormonal events.
