Filed Under (Lose Weight) by Parimal on 20-08-2009

The Glycemic Index (GI) is a way of rating carbohydrate foods according to how quickly the carbohydrates are broken down into glucose, and thus how quickly that glucose enters the bloodstream. The reasoning behind this is that carbohydrates that enter the bloodstream quickly raise blood sugar levels rapidly, causing a spike in energy, that is followed by a drop after the effects of insulin are triggered.

The Free Info About Start Growing Healthy Children Before Getting Pregnant .

Filed Under (Pregnancy) by Parimal on 20-08-2009

When I was in my early 20’s, I read Adele Davis’s book, “Let’s Eat Right To Keep fit.” I learned from her that “you are what you eat.” I also learned that our babies are what we eat while we are pregnant, and then are what they eat once they are born. If you nurse your babies, then they continue to be what you eat as long as you are nursing them. My bible during my first pregnancy over 38 years ago was “Let’s Have Healthy Children,” also by Adele Davis. I started to follow her guidelines way before getting pregnant, knowing that my health had a huge effect on my baby’s health.

An effective homemade acne treatment is a very cheap, safe and simple way to make your skin clearer of acne; but they do not prevent acne from coming back. Neither do creams, lotions or any other kind of over-the-counter treatment. You must fix the problem internally, not externally (the problem is on the inside, not the outside of your body).

Causes Of Acne

Filed Under (Acne) by Parimal on 08-08-2009

There is no one particular cause of acne. Doctors believe that acne is a result of a variety of factors. One factor is the hormone level in the body. These hormones are called androgens and their level increases when a person is going through puberty. This is the reason why there are so many teens faced with the acne problem.
Another factor that is responsible for acne is genetics. If a child’s parents, or one of them, had acne problems in the childhood, then there is a excellent chance the child will also face this problem. When a teen is having a problem with acne it is vital that he or she seeks acne medication as soon as possible to minimize the effect of acne. The best way is to contact a dermatologist and question about what would work with our type of skin, as some medications work better with dry and another with oil skin.
Another factor that might cause acne in girls is their menstruation period. At this time hormones are very active and this can trigger lots of problems in teen girls, and acne is one of them. There is a number of medications that can help with this problem, and the sooner the problem is addressed the better.
Pregnancy and birth control pills often cause acne in women. When a woman is pregnant her hormones go “crazy” and many things happen to her body. Sadly, acne is one of them. Birth control pills also cause acne and a woman has to either drop them or use acne medication. Again, especially when a woman is pregnant, she should contact a dermatologist before taking acne medication.
Sometimes acne can be caused by certain medications one has to take. It is perfectly normal and can happen to virtually all of us. This usually happens when the medication we take is new, and the problem disappears once our body gets used to the medication. In this case you just have to be patient and wait, till our body “accepts” the new medication.
Another cause of acne might be fabrics and clothes you wear and how your wear them. Tight collars, backpacks and hats for example can cause acne on any part of our body. Yes, acne does not affect face only. It can be on any part of the body. Wherever it appears make sure that you seek acne medication and again, the best option is to contact your dermatologist for advice.
There are many myths about how acne starts, like chocolate or stout food for example. But, these rumors have never been proved. Of course your diet can and will affect your skin and this is why you need to make sure your diet is healthy and well balanced.

Filed Under (Women's Issues) by Parimal on 16-07-2009

Losing weight while eating more? Now that just doesn’t make sense , does it? It’s such a hard concept to imagine, and it goes against all we have been taught.
Well, its not such a crazy concept and when you know how the body assimilates food you will have a better understanding of how it works.
There are many common mis-conceptions about why we place on the pounds like we do, why they stay on, and about what is the best way to shed those pounds.
What percentage of the population would believe that you can lose weight in this way – by eating more? I would say, just a tiny minority. Obviously, it’s not just any ancient food – it’s a specific diet.
Similarly, only a tiny fraction of the populace would concede that it is possible to change your body in 11 days – to the extent of shedding 9 pounds of stout. This would seem to be a very hard objective to achieve.
