Gravity. We fight with it as we age. It pulls our faces, our bodies, even our wrinkles downwards! It’s spawned a multibillion-dollar anti-aging industry. And now, new science indicates the face is a much more complicated “battlefield” than originally thought.

One of the main problems is that the face is made up of 16 anatomically distinct compartments that gain and lose fatty tissue independently of one another over time, scientists at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center found.

For many baby boomers, concern about their appearance and the aging process isn’t a vain pursuit. According to Time magazine, job anxiety is one of the driving factors for the $50 billion anti-aging industry. Baby boomers are seeing the value in hair-coloring products, cosmetic dentistry and plastic surgery in terms of looking younger on the job.

Of course, age discrimination is illegal, but that doesn’t mean people don’t feel nervous about it. Here are a few tips from the article to look younger without doing anything drastic.

The hottest news in the anti-aging scene comes from South Korea, where scientists claim to have uncovered a fat molecule with strong anti-aging potential from tests on the ability of lipids to fight skin aging.

Published in the Journal of Lipid Research, the study looked into the impact of seven naturally occurring fat molecules on the way skin ages.

The researchers said three of the lipids examined were capable of preventing UV-radiation from reducing collagen expression - and may even increase collagen in undamaged skin cells.

It’s no secret that when we get older, our bodies start to change in less than desireable ways. Nobody wants to look as old (or even worse, older) as they really are, so many are faced with the challenge of trying to maintain a youthful glow. This proves much tougher for those who neglect their skin and do not follow a proper health care routine.

As you get older, your skin starts to change and can develop wrinkles or dark circles around your face, eyes, neck, etc. Because of this, it is imperative to talk to a health expert, or better yet, a cosmetologist. Health magazines are another source of good information.

As I state in my Report, I believe that anti-aging from the inside out provides some of the best benefits in terms of slowing down or stopping the signs of aging. That being said, for people who want visible results relatively quickly - in terms of skin care and wrinkle treatment - there are ways to topically treat the signs of aging. Unfortunately, this sphere is just as convoluted as many other areas related to anti-aging.

Peoples’ preoccupation with anti-ageing skin care products that claim to make you look younger is not surprising; reducing the visible signs of ageing is the goal for many people as they grow older, and why shouldn’t it be? This group of beauty products generally works by enabling the synthesis of collagen, the main protein of connective tissue in animals and the most abundant in our body; collagen is so abundant, it makes up about a quarter of the total protein content of structural protein found in skin. This area of anti-ageing treatments is connected to another group of products that help people to look young; known as antioxidants, they are the body’s method of slowing down the ageing process.

Anti-aging skin care products are very popular today; reducing the visible signs of aging is the goal for many people as they grow older, and why shouldn’t it be? Skin is important so a great deal of effort goes into the preparation of beauty products especially those that increase the production of collagen, which is the primary protein in skin; almost 25 percent of the protein in skin is actually collagen. Collagen is a member of another family of substances that aid in reducing the signs of ageing. this group is called antioxidants which are natural chemicals found in many foods and our body.

When it comes to carrying for your skin, both on your face and on your body, you want something you know will really work well, and that is good for your skin. There are hundreds of different things to try, and trying each one of them can be daunting at best. Some names you know you can trust, and others are new, and you aren’t sure what to think. Advertisements say a lot, but trying something out is what really tells you what something can do. In my family, I seem to have collected a lot of Adeva skin care products, though it is not something I set out to do.

An immensely important influencing factor in ensuring that your skin continues to look young healthy and vibrant is to start a regular skin care plan. In their intense search for the fountain of eternal youth our scientists have created all types of skin care products for our use. Wonderful and wild statements are often delivered about the astounding results from applying it regularly. Sadly these claims are often simply false and little or no, real, evidence actually exists. As more of us turn to the Internet in an attempt to find a product or treatment to keep our good looks, more of us are fooled by this kind of advertising. Sadly skin care and Micro-dermabrasion organizations are often as guilty of this practice as others.
