Stress is one of the 21st century’s buzzword. But what does ‘being stressed’ actually mean, what problems does it create and how can we simplify life to bust it for good? I will give you 50 great ways to make your stress go away just like that!
In evolutionary terms, stress was the means humans had for catching food and avoiding being someone else’s lunch! Stress meant fighting or running away.
Stress is the emotional and physical strain caused by our response to pressure from the outside world.
So stress can mean lots of thing!

1. Take One Day At A Time
Over-stressed people focus on the future and all the overwhelming events that may occur tomorrow, next week or in 10 year’s time. To simplify life, we need to take one day at a time. This means, focusing our thoughts mostly on the present. By doing this, we limit the amount of processing our brains have to cope with.
2. Make Life Predictable
Simpler lives are those that are predictable. Life doesn’t have to be boring but the more routine you introduce into the stressful parts of your life, the less strain your put in on your mind and body.
3. Resolve Guilt
Use guilt as a motivator to change the forces that make your feel uncomfortable. If you are asked by someone to do something when asked, do it now. Relieve the guilt and move on.
4. Feel Emotion, Don’t Fight Them
From birth we develop defenses against emotions which can go to great length. Free up all those emotions and gain huge amounts energy to deal with your present life by allowing yourself to feel and to express anger, sadness, hurt and shame. Remember, “Life brings lots of emotions, so don’t fight them”.
5. Take a Time Management Course
Another great way to avoid stress is to learn a proper time management system.
6. Live Clutter Free
Have at least one room in the home that is clutter free and enjoy quiet moments there without being burdened.

Lots of experts prescribes self-hypnosis as it keeps your stress level and body tension down. It is little like meditation.
8. Cut Back On Chores
When your are ‘very’ stressed leave one chores undone. Lets the bed stay unmade, let others do it for you or have a takeaway for dinner. Learn not to feel guilty about doing this.
9. Enlist A Computer Expert
People who live with computers and the frustration that they bring, find someone to sort out the mess when the computer goes down is a real stress buster. Specially virus, new software, slow computer, cluttered hard drive are the surest ways to raise blood pressure. Bring experts to fix them.
10. Reduce Noise
Reducing noise around you can simplify the information coming into your brain and allow the hard-worked cognitive function to concentrate. Have periods in a day without TV or radio.
