Self Image & Beliefs – The Changes You Can Make

Self-image is the thoughts you have in your mind with regard to your personality and other qualities. It is these thoughts you use with how you regard yourself. Having a positive self image is very crucial if you want to have more self esteem.

Low self image can affect your life and in some cases make you feel worthless. But, you can boost your self image by thinking about all of the excellent qualities within you. It is these qualities that become your strength, and which will help you to change your self-image.

There are a number of ways in which you can boost your self image:

1. It is a excellent thought to find those situations which are causing you problems and affecting your self image. There may be areas of your personality which are weak, but which you can change if you are willing to make the effort.

If you can change these areas of your personality and add a new self to your life then this will help in boosting your self image. Weaknesses are part of who we are and we need to know how to deal with our weak points so that we can then turn them into stronger ones.

2. Sometimes we have thoughts that cross our minds during certain situations or about certain people that cause us to have a low self image. It could be that you feel someone is better than you in certain parts of life, and this can lead you to feeling nervous or having self doubts.

It is a excellent thought to try and observe these thoughts you are having. Sometimes when we talk to ourselves to try and rid ourselves of such thoughts they sometimes have a negative twist to them and this leads to a person’s decrease in their self image.

3. Low self image can result in unwanted reactions in a person of a physical, behavioral or emotional nature. Such reactions that can be associated with low self image are a problem with your appetite, rage issues or headaches. If you can to avoid such problems you need to avoid having negative thoughts about yourself.

Try and spend some time on working out what your thought patterns are. If the thoughts are more positive rather than negative these will not only be more logical but more worthy of retaining. But, our minds work in mysterious ways so not all our thoughts will flow in direction that is right.

If you are someone who criticizes everything that you do then you will soon start to development low self image feelings. It is crucial that you should try and feel excellent about yourself all the time. Not only will you feel the effect of these positive vibes but those around you will as well.

We are all unique and each have qualities that no one else will have. So you need to learn how not only to respect yourself but these qualities that you have, and you will be able to increase your self image quite a lot. If your self image is healthy not only will you be able to deal with certain problems but find it simpler to overcome hard situations.

A person may also develop an inferiority complex if they persistently have a low self image. This type of complex is something which should be avoided as it can affect their personality in very drastic ways. Your self-image is reflected in your personality and each of the actions that you do. So you need to remember to keep your self image intact.

Along with self image, a person’s beliefs can play a very major role in shaping the kind of life they lead. From when were children we would have certain values instilled into us and these form the basis of that person’s beliefs. In some case the beliefs we have are a reflection of the thoughts that society or our parents have.

As we grow up and become more exposed to the outside world so our beliefs may change. It is these beliefs which will help to shape our deepest wishes and thoughts. Sometimes the beliefs that are vital to use may well form the basis for somebody else’s beliefs. The strongest belief we have is in the believe and trust we have in those that we like and trying to break this belief can prove very hard indeed.

There are some beliefs which may contradictory to others that you have and these can alter the way your life is lead and causes problems to arise. If you have such beliefs and you want to lead a life that is pleased and satisfied then you need to be willing to change them. You also need to remember that self belief is an vital part of your beliefs. By having faith and believing in yourself then you will be able to develop a more positive self image.

If you choose to get rid of the ancient beliefs that are obstructing your path, then you need to make sure that you replace these with new ones. These new beliefs should be of the kind that you really believe in and should not be the manifestation of another person’s thoughts and beliefs.

The belief system that you have is different from anyone else’s and will impact greatly on your choice making and actions undertaken. These beliefs can be very powerful and may well affect the areas surrounding us. Often we will fight for our beliefs and do not like it when others try to influence our opinions.

The strong beliefs which we develop in relation to a certain issue much be done in accordance with certain values that we have. You can make your beliefs stronger or weaker by looking at how vital, accurate and worthy they are to you. For those who want to alter their way of thinking to improve their life then understanding the importance of self image and beliefs is crucial.
