raw foodists don’t want their food to go over a certain temp, so that’s why they use the dehydrator. But I agree, it’s such a waste of time and energy. Sun drying would be better I guess (I’m not a raw foodist, so I just pop my stuff in the oven lol) but then I’d worry about having a trail of ants on my food by the time I go back :P Or stray cats harassing me.

sounds excellent how about fish or chicken jerky would that work?

Yeah you need rocket science to eat a damn apple nowdays.

I lack the patience for a dehydrator. Who has the time to sit around for 12 hours and check their food every 3 hours? Not me, that’s for sure.

I feel the same way. I would have to keep that thing running 24/7 just so I’ll always have snacks when I get a craving…waste of time and energy if it’s running for hours at a time.

i have a dehydator and its really inconvinent. It needs to run for at least 6 hours to dry anything…its a shame that nearly all commercially dried fruits have preservatives in them

She is an idiot, she doesn’t even tell us what she is spreading other then her damn apples, yeah well that and what elce?

just apples dude, cut up apple pieces its what she’s dehydrating

This is idiotic. She doesn’t tell us what she’s spreading. Apple pieces and what? How does this help anyone? The most useful thing she says is to turn the shelf around. Yet she looks so pleased with herself at the end….

using a microwave destroys all the nutrients in food…so they become junk food. Use a dehydrator or set your oven on low and open the door…if you want to be raw ..if not better to use your oven than a microwave anyday!!
